That 1st appointment
Everyone has to go six months some even longer. First you go to a seminar, were you get paper work. Then get your paper work filled out and returned. Then in about two months you see a dietitian, and pysch. Then in about two more months you see the surgeron. Then you have pre- testing to get finish and sent to the Dr. then they give you a date of surgery. Now medicare passes everyone no trouble. You need to go were medicare has passed the hosiptal to be in. I am going to Dr Allen and useing Nortons hosiptal in Louisville Ky. Dr. Allen is tops with this. I started on Nov 1st and have my surgery on June 18th I am so very excited. I know you cant wait but we have no choice.Good luck if I can be of any help please let me know.
Thank you so much for all the help with my questions-So basically it sounds like its the doctor's office that takes so long, not medicare-I have 3 more questions-Do you know exactly how much out of pocket money you have been and will be responsible for? Did you have to pay for the dietitian and pysch? I know I have to pay a $100.00 program fee but I can't find out if I will have to pay anything other than that. Do you also know if you have to use their doctors for this or can you go ahead and see a pysch, becuase I saw one a couple of years ago when I originally checked into having surgery. Again thank you so much, I appreciate you helping with my questions. I just didn't know who to turn to in order to get these questions answered. Good luck on your up coming surgery. I will pray for you, and by the way what type of surgery are you having done? I have chosen the Lap-Band for myself.
