7 Months Out
Ok so I had my 6 / 7 month visit on 5/21/07 with Dr. Steiner. I weighed in at 245lbs that day. When I first weighed at the center I was 368lbs. So that is 123lbs lost so far. That loss is with a 6.5 lb gain in muscle mass to boot, which they say is a great thing. Doc says I am doing great and just keep up the good work. My goal weight set by the center is 200lbs. I hope I can make my goal weight and possibly loose just a little bit more. Problem is I feel that I can eat as much now as I could before surgery and I am a little afraid I will start putting weight back on.
God Bless you all,
Michael D.
that's a great weight loss...good for you!!
I know what you mean about worrying you eat more now than a couple of mnths ago..I went through the same thing at 6months..yet when I compared to what others were eating, it wasn't all that much after all.
I think the real challenge is the snacking and grazing..that comes later down the road. I am fighting it now as I find myself not wanting to eat a meal..instead I will find myself grazing. So the last few days I decided to make myself eat my 3 meals then a healthy snack at least 2 times a day. I feel better when I do that too.
You will do great, I think having that little bit of fear in us, keeps us straight!!

Stay with the 3 meals and only 2 snacks. Mindless eating and snacking will provide you with far more calories than you think.
If you are questioning what you are eating, try keeping a journal for a week. This would highlight any problem areas.
Good luck!
Baby, you look awesome! I am impressed and inspired by your progress everyday! I love you and as you know, I too worry whether or not I eat way more than I should. We'll just keep plugging our intake in our journals and pray we're doing it right.
I assume we are, since we're still losing weight. Anyhoot, I am very proud of you and congratulations on the weight loss!
Dee

Baby,
You are my inspiration
and you are looking awesome
yourself. I know we both have these worries but we also have each other to lean on and help one another. Also we are there to help keep each other in line. We will make it and yes we are doing it right we just have to keep up and keep on exercising as well.
