Okie dokie.....I had my surgery with the Dr.s but it was at Jackson Purchase in Mayfield ky. I love, love, L O V E these docs! They were/ are so kind and caring of their patients. I could have gone to a Dr. located in a twon 45 minutes away that is there 24/7 but I choose these guys. And it was totally the best choice. Both the offices in Georgetown and Mayfield were very good about helping me with every little thing from questions to the paper work to support group (btw they have a group on MSN you should check out....very tight knit and helpful. The nurses from Georgetown run it).  The only issue I had was I didn't get to meet  the Dr.s until the day of surgery. They offered to fly down twice to meet with me but I couldn't see the point in the travel, time and cost for just me. I wasn't worried too much though because the staff was so supportive of me through the process. Everytime I have seen the Dr.s since they are always totally interested in me and how every tiny thing is going.   I think you would love them! Good luck! Wendy Burgess. BTW......Feel free to msg me if you have any questions or want me to send you the link to their group.

I had my surgery with them in October 2005. They are the greatest. No complaints at all, great program and they also have great support group meetings once a month after your surgery in which ine of the doctor's always attend . The meetings are so important to you and will help with any questions and sharing of others who have gone through similiar experiences.

My surgery was Feb 21 2007 and it was with Dr Weiss. He is awesome. I would not have chosen anyone else for the world. I loved him and he was always friendly and had a great bedside manner. He talked to me when he saw me in the hallways and always inquired about my days. He is great and I have heard great things about Dr Oldham also. There is a place on here that you rate the drs I am sure you could read a lot of reviews there. Lesa

I had my surgery with Dr. Weiss last August and have only praise for him and Dr. Oldham (they do their surgeries together), the office staff, and the hospital.  I highly recommend Georgetown. The office staff provide excellent pre-surgery education and post-surgery support.  They also work closely with insurance companies to help patients get approval.  Also, their support discussion board is a great place to learn about the procedures and to get whatever answers and support are needed. I honestly have not experienced anything negative with the Georgetown office. Kathy

I too, had my surgery with Weiss and Oldham in 2004 and have nothing bad to say. Their staff is great and very responsive when needed. I am a lucky one--never had a stricture or any reason to call the staff but I have friends who were very satisfied with the call-back time. Georgetown Hospital is the BEST. I would go there for anything and everything! The nurses there treat the bariatric patients very well and are very respectful. Besides being professionals, I am sure that Dr'.s Weiss and Oldham are the big money makers there so they want to keep us all happy! I predict that you will be just as happy with the program and hospital. Good luck--I am happy for you!!!!
