I don't think so, But every surgeon is different. All I had to do was change into the gown and then they started the IV. They ask ya alot of questions I suppose for the Anesthesiologist. Once I got the happy drug I was ready to go back!  You should be fine. Take care and good luck

Hi I'm doing great! I feel better than I did like 15 years ago. It's quite a life changer, Keep us posted! Good luck and take care. P.S. I didn't even sleep the night before surgery, I couldn't lol. So I know all about being nervous

Hi Darlene, I wish you all the best on your upcoming surgery.  It seems like only yesterday I was in the same spot you're in.   Like Tony said, each surgeon/hospital is different and have different policies.....but the only tests I had to have the morning of surgery were blood pressure and temperature.  No bloodwork or anything.   They did all that at the pre-admission testing.   I did have to answer a bunch of questions that morning of surgery  that I had to answer at my history and physical with the surgeon and also at the pre-admission testing.  It got to be monotonous answering all those questions....but it's a small price to pay to make sure nothing is overlooked and everything is good to go for surgery.   Take care....and keep us posted on your progress!

I remember the jitters that I had right before surgery. I know that you will do fine. My doc did some last minute blood work and then I was off to surgery. Fear ddin't set in for me until right before surgery but when I woke up I had to ask if they had done it already. Please remember that surgery is only the beginning of a whole new and different life. God Bless and let me know how you are doing. Katherine

They redrew my pre-op labs and did a type and cross. I too wish you the best and a speedy recovery. Be sure to relax the next few days because you probably won't get much sleep once you do your bowel prep. You are always welcome and keep me posted
