I've been looking around everywhere for one of those big wooden swing set/play set things. They have the fort on top, a couple slides, swings, a glider, monkey bars, climbing wall, etc. Where is the best place to get one? I'm planning on spending around $1k for it and I want one that will last her for a long time and that has the most stuff to play with for the money. Thanks everyone Ange I've looked at walmart.com and samsclub.com but haven't checked out Home Depot or Lowes yet.

I have seen some really nice ones at lows, and they look like good quality. I don't know the price range, but if i were you I would go and take a look. they weather proof their materials.  so I hope this helps.

Morning. We have a few stand alone places that sell those playground sets. But I think I would do research online, find one or two you want, and then go from there, finding local stores that distribute that particular model. Check the phone book/online directory for your local businesses?

I've never bought one so I can't say for sure.

Good luck!!!

WEll Ang, I have to say dont buy one from a retail store , even lowes....We bought one about 3-4yrs ago and it was lose and wobbly before the end of the season! I agree if you can buy Amish by all means do!!!     They have the best quality and its made out of real hard wood!!!    and the workmanship is wonderful!  But I spent around $500 total at lowes and really we would have been better off buying the hardware and  the lumber and putting one together ourselves! Which is another alternative...you can go back in that area of lowes and buy all the swings, gliders, slides and etc. and then buy the lumber (quality you pick out) and the brackets to put it all together...it's alot of work that way but it would be beter than what we ended up with.   My husband love his heart, had to replace almost every rail in the set we bought...which in turn is still standing! (all except for the rock climbing wall we had to totally replace that)  GOOD LUCK!!!
