Hey Cheryl what have you been eating that you are getting tired of. That would help some. Have you tried doing variations of the main items. How are you on the protein.  me??? I have major trouble with protein shakes, so I make my meals protein dense,,, shrimp, fish, chicken, beef, pork, and beans play a part in my meals. i keep refried beans on hand. Tuna salad is a staple during the days I work as we can make a batch of it up ahead of time and just take a container with me each day.

WEll beef feels to heavy, and pork makes me feel sick so really i have a lot of chicken and beans...Tuna is out of the question! actually anything w/mayo i dont like (makes me sick just looking at it) weird huh!!!    I can do fish only sometimes, sometimes it doesnt set with me for some reason.     So really I feel like my food choices are very limited...and I guess because i am so picky they kinda are... Protein drinks I can do w/out trouble so really thats where i get the most...but i would love to cut back and get more protein in w/food but that seems so far off.......I dont vary very much I am kinda afraid of things making me sick......so where do Igo from here????

well what are your feeling on tuna by itself. You don't have to put mayo in it. DO you like fish/seafood? We're both still early out, so it is going to be a learning process for us. Take it slow and keep our portions small. Don't get back in the old habits of big meals.  I have a big problem with the oil that certain restaurants use to cook their foods and can't eat it without being ill afterwards.  I have gone with my girlfriends family to Carrabas a couple of times and had no problem with the dishes I have ordered until I had a bite of her little sisters garlic bread. A small bite, very small bite and I started sweating and feeling very ill. I got nervous and started plotting my course to the restroom should it get that bad. Luckily it didn't, but it just goes to show you that we will make mistakes from time to time. We just got to suck it up and try things. Before WLS I wasn't a big seafood person; but now that I NEED the protein I am forcing myself to try it and finding that it really isn't that bad.

Cheryl, I do try to eat meats, cheese and beans during meals, but to get an extra boost of protein, I drink milk, eat yogurt or string cheese snacks, etc. I eat salads with hard-boiled egg, cheese and ham diced. Chili w/ cheese and sour cream. Last night I got a bottle of 30-minute teriyaki marinade which I used on chicken. I cooked 3 oz of chicken in it on the stove (21g protein!) to which I added onions and mushrooms. Mushrooms are fairly generous in protein as well. SF 50/50 peanut butter is good, but its hard not to drink with it! Carnation instant breakfast SF choc. I've been known to get Wendy's chili on occasion. (Amanda the nut. at the center recommends it when you're on the go!) Their bacon & cheddar potatoes are really good too, with sour cream, but I try to not do that too often due to the carbs. I still cannot eat bread (nor should I due to the carbs) or lunch meats.

Ryan to answer youQ on how I feel about tuna...."like dead raw fish in a can" lol    and I used to like some seafood but now the thoughts turn my stomach!   (not to mention I only like it if it deep fried) lol mmmmm!!!  I tell ya this is a long drawn out process that I find one hurdle after another when it comes to eating....all in alll...I guess I'll have to learn to eat chicken a million different ways... I would just like to find something that I can eat even the fruits and veggies that doesnt have loads of carbs.....since i have been looking at my food at www.fitday.com i have really been making better choices...but that also has limited what i am willing to try...i havent had a 5lb week since the after the first week of surgery and i know its because of my choices, so i have been making beter ones and its providing me with results (I lost a pound since yesterday) YEA ME!!    I really appreciate all the info and the help you guys!!   THANKS............................, and Cathryn  you look GREAT!!    so how much have you lost so far, and how are you feeling doing it???
