OT:I'm so mad at our attorney

Our car accident was 10/8/06. We heard 2 weeks ago from our attorney that they've recieved the max offer from the other ppl's insurance co and the max offer from our car insurance underissued policy. Ok, during the past 2 weeks they were supposedly talking dr's, physcial therapist, and our health insurance to see if any of these had liens against Adams settlement. After his PIP coverage was exhausted we turned the chiropractor bill, physical therapist bill over to the health insurance. The back surgery he had is not covered by health insurance. We've been impatiently waiting for 2 weeks to hear something. Yes impatiently, we're so frustrated its not funny. I got tired of leaving emails, voice mails to our attorney and case manager so I called the physical therapist, the chiro, the health insurance myself. First of all the physical therapist came back and said that their bill was paid in full by the health insurance, the chiro hinted that theirs was but due to privacy laws couldn't tell me over the phone, they're mailing it out. Our case manager told me this past Monday that she called the health insurance last Friday and was giving them until this Wed and calling them back.  Ok, I called the health insurance co myself. They have recieved no calls on Adams acct from anyone since I called to check something last Dec 06. They haven't gotten any letters from our attorney or phone calls. I just tried to call the attorney back and the case manager but they're both "out" so I emailed them once again. I also asked to speak with our attorneys supervisor. It turned out to be one of the partners of the firm. I left him a voice mail too. Why are they lying like this? I'm not usually so cynical but after dealing with these ppl for 8 months now I'm starting to dislike attorneys or at least this firm. I feel like their hedging and trying to put more money in their pockets when they're already getting a huge chunk. Thanks, just had to vent, I'm so frustrated right now.

I hate to ask but, WHO IS YOUR ATTORNY???? It sounds like the same attorney that my husband has for his back injury case, so it makes me feel like I need to ask. I am sorry that you are having somany problems and hope that things get straightened out soon. Katherine

I PMed u with the name of the personal injury firm we used. All I'll say on here is that they have offices in Louisville and Bowling Green lol. I don't want to say more till we settle. One of the partners emailed me today, our attorneys boss, and said it will be settled next week. I've heard that before but I'll try to keep a open mind lol.

I know what you are going through! It took me almost a year to receive my settlement from my car accident! It was all because of negligence on the part of my attorneys helpers and because of the doctors offices not faxing/mailing the needed documents!! And then, when the insurance company finally settled, I didn't get as much as my attorney tried to get me because my doctor wouldn't write  a statement saying that HE told me not to wor****il he released me from his care. It was a bunch of b.s that made me lose over 10 thousand dollars. But, I guess I came out ok .. its just frustrating when they keep giving you the run around!
