Hello Everyone,     Just wanted to say that as of today i am finished with my pre-op tests and will now be waiting for everything to be sent to the insurance company and see if i can get approval.  I am kind of worried when reading about sometimes needing an attorney!  But wish me luck!  This is a Wonderful site and i have learned alot by reading posts here!

Welcome.... I am pleased that you are finished with the pre-op stuff. I was one who needed an attorney but will pray that you are not. GOOD LUCK!!!! Hi!!!!You are right this is a wonderful site.  Where you are at I think is the worst part, just waiting.  Did you review your policy before you started to make sure there are no exclusions?  Anyway your journey has just started.  I am 21 months out and Have No Regrets.  I wished I could have done this years ago, but it wasn't as safe as it is now.  I hope you don't have to wait too long. My policy states that is is paid for if it is deemed "medically necessary".... this is a change from 3 years ago when it read that the surgery would be approved for "life threatening conditions".  I tried 3 years ago but was denied...but i should qualify this time , I hope!  There has been about 5 people from my hospital who have been able to have the surgery since this change has been made.... hope it goes my way too!
