OT:My thoughts on Harry Potter
Warning: If u haven't read the 5 & 6th Harry Potter Books don't read any further. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read either book. The 5th movie is coming out in theaters in less than 2 weeks. Unless u don't mind spoilers don't read any more of this. To those of u who have read the books thru 6, read on and let me know your thoughts!
First of all if ya'll ain't read # 6 u might not want to hear my thoughts I've
been thinking on the last Harry Potter book that is soon coming out. July 21,
as a matter of fact!!! Can't wait! I'll be at walmart at 12:01am the night
before to get my copy and most likely up all night reading. The kids and I have
been rewatching all 4 of the first movies and I'm rereading all 6 books so far.
Ok heres my thoughts. (DON'T READ MORE IF U DIDN'T READ 6 YET AND U DON'T WANT
TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!)
Ok, when I first read book 5 I was torn up cause she kills of Siris Black. That
upset me. I still cry each time I read that one and I know I'll be bawling when
I watch the movie Sat July 14 (thats when we're going to see it when James's is
back.)
Ok, so I was upset when Siris died. (Warning, stop reading if u didn't read
book 6 and u don't want to know what happens yet)
When I read book 6 I was plumb torn up to read about Snape killing Dumbledore.
That really peed me off. I couldn't believe it. U know the funeral scene is
that movie is going to be bad. Just reading about Hagrid carrying Dumbledores
body in tears me up! Ok, my thoughts on this whole Snape killing Dumbledore
thing. In the first book/movie when Prof Quirrell trys to kill Harry at the
Quidditch match, Snape is muttering a counter curse to save Harry. In the 3rd
book/movie when Prof Lupin turns werewolf right around the kids, Snape shoves
them behind him (Harry included) to shield them and protect them.
In the 6th book when Snape kills Dumbledore Harry runs after him trying to get
Snape to fight him, but Snape won't. Does any of this make sense? I'm going
nuts of course, waiting on the 7th book. Can't wait to see the 5th movie either
but I'm on pins and needles for the last book. I know Snape did that
unbreakable vow with Draco Malfoys mom saying he'd kill Dumbledore if Draco
couldn't and Draco couldn't so Snape "had" to? I know the only thing Dumbledore
says to Snape before he kills him is "Severus, please". I just wonder how
Snape's going to end up. In the 3rd book we also find out that Siris played a
trick on Snape when they were all in school that nearly got him killed and
Harry's dad, James Potter, saved him. I wonder if thats why he doesn't kill
Harry, no matter how bad he hated Siris and James? Oh well, what are u're
thoughts???
I have also read the books and love them. I wonder if Dumbledore's death was staged. That was my thought anyway, but who knows. That is what is so wonderful about the whole series, it keeps you guessing. I am looking forward to the next book as well. The books go into so much more detail that it makes more sence.

The movies are all ok, but I love the books. The movies leave out alot of stuff thats in the books. JK Rowling has said Dumbledore is dead but he still have his portraits and stuff. I'm on pins and needles. I'm dreading August this year cause my daughter starts kindergarten but I can't wait until July 21st. Oh well!
I have loved all these books and I can actually say i bought the first one before all the hype. I felt that Harry looked just like my son and I was trying to get him to read... I would read the book first so after he read it, I could ask him questions to see if he really read it. well he never got past the first few pages..
about a year later, my daughter picked up the book and was hooked! she has read them all at least 4 times each and is waiting for the last one. BUT since I have my pre order voucher, I get to read it first and I do intend to be there at 12:01 for my copy and then I guess I will be up all night reading.
I too feel there is something behind Snape...I feel the death was also staged and that snape is doing what dumbledore has asked him to do AND i think Malfoy is going to end up doing something noble and NOT follow in his parents footsteps...
we have talked at lengths at home on what we think will happen and I think Harry will win but it wont be a happy victory, (I will have my box of kleenix handy) I am also thinking that Harry will leave behind everyone one and everything he has grown to love and care about in the last 7 years and set off all alone
I am looking forward to the movie and will also bring a box of kleenix with me

I think u may be right. Someone said theres a rumor on some of the aol harry potter messageboards about a major character dies (theres always a rumor) and JK Rowling has said theres at least 1 or 2 more deaths that she didn't really want to write. I'll keep me some kleenix around too. I know I'll be bawling at the movie. Its a given lol. I cry when I read the end of the 5th book. Its so sad. Harry lost his parents and Siris too, then Dumbledore.
as soon as i get my book, i am locking myself in a bedroom with no tv and I wont get on the computer or read the paper, I dont want anyone to spoil it for me,
I am happy that people have stopped protesting this book so much, If people had read it themselfs they would have seen that there are thousands of books out there that would really offend them. this book brought back the art of reading!
My mother in law who is catholic like me, told us not to read the book, when her son asked why, she replied her priest told her too! My husband looked right at his mom and said "do you always blindly follow what people tell you to do" that shut her up.
she goes to a different church then us.
My son never did read the book and the funny thing is my son still kind of looks like Harry does not but my son is is almost bald now.... he is a Marine! not sure if he wants to be caught reading the book now.
of course he is going to see transformers when he gets home.

PS, I really really hope this last book does not leave me hanging with too many loose ends, unanswered questions and too many people gone
