PROTEIN BURNOUT!!!!! HELP!!!
OK! I AM HAVING MAJOR "PROTEIN BURNOUT" ! I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS OF ANY SITES I CAN GO TO GET "FREE" SAMPLES, I WOULD LOVE TO TRY SOME NEW FLAVORS BUT I HAVENT FOUND MANY THINGS THAT I LIKE AND I CANT AFFORD TO BUY IT AND THROW IT OUT!! SO I THOUGHT IF I COULD FIND A COUPLE PLACES I COULD GET A FEW DIFFERENT SAMPLES MAYBE IT WOULD GET ME THRU TO FINDING SOMETHING I CAN DRINK AND HALF WAY LIKE ! SO ANYONE OUT THERE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS?????
THANKS!!!!!
Many of the protein drinks are full of nasty chemicals. Try something natural.
I like the BOLTHOUSE Farms drinks. Go to your produce section where the organic/natural juices are and try soy protein "Vanilla Chai Tea" flavor. Their fruit smoothies are excellent as well, but the chai tea has 10g protein.
If you really want the chemical laden kind, EAS Advantedge chocolate fudge flavor are the best I've ever tasted, before I went organic.
Good luck!

Hi! I get all my protein from Jennifer Hawse at Bluegrass Bariatrics in Georgetown. She has allot of samples of powders, and also some of the new bars as well. She has her website up and going now to so you can check that out. She's GREAT

I use the Whey Protein shake from Wal-Mart in the diet section. Here is what made it go from "tolerable" to "pretty good." At Kroger you can buy a low-carb milk by the brand of "HOOD." I buy the chocolate milk, put eight ounces in with one scoop of protein powder. I have been doing two of these shakes a day, and with the milk each one is about 30 grams of protein. The biggest plus is that because these help me get in my protein, I have been able to have some VEGGIES that I have not been able to eat very much at all since being post-op. This milk made all the difference!!! :)
I solved my protein problem with 2 things: First of all, i maked iced protein coffees...sorta...I start with 1% milk, some ice, a scoop of my cheapest walmart whey protein powder in chocolate, and then I use the sugar free international food coffee to flavor (it comes in different flavors)..makes a nice icy coffee flavored drink that is yum using my magic bullet.
the other easy solution is a product from gnc called properformance liquid protein...its not very expensive, a black and red bottle about the size of a shampoo bottle, just 3 spoons added to any sf drink adds 18 grams protein, its about the consistency of cough syrup, its red and punch flavored. I add it to any cold drink, including water. if its not sweet enough i add splenda. I carry a small container of it in my purse so i can add protein whereever i go. hope it helps. kc
