Hello to all, Newbie here! Update

Hello to all!  I joined this website a while ago to learn about weight loss surgery and now I am going through the process of getting approved.  I just set up my first three appointments with Dr. Tom's Office and I am so excited.  I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield of MA, anybody else have this insurance or have any experience with it?  They acutally have a form on their website for the doctor to fill out and send into them to get approval for surgery so I feel this is a really good sign! update - well i have gone to the protein tast testing, that was interesting lol and i have met with the dietitian and i have received my binder full of info.  tomorrow i have to have my one on one with the dietitian and also met with the people at the sleep center.  i have already have my psych evaluation so hopefully they have already sent in my paperwork to the insurance company.  everybody cross your fingers for me that i get approved!

Hi!    Nice to see you on here.   You couldn't have picked a better surgeon.....Dr. Sonnanstine is excellent! I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield FEP and they covered the surgery with no problem.  But every plan has different requirements and exclusions.   I called the customer service number on the back of my card and asked them what they covered and what they required in order to cover it. 

Hello Just wanted to say.... Hi and Hope everything Works out! Im starting the process of tring to have WLS for the second time.  So i know sometimes its just nice to hear a friendly .....HI!

thanks for the friendly welcome.  i have gotten some great info from this site and it is what helped me to choose dr. tom.

Hey girl its about time ya posted on here! Congrats on getting things started. Its a huge step but definately one for the better! We all know dr Tom is the best!!!!! If you need anything, you have my number... feel free to gimme a call!

BTW I lost my pictures in my little slide show on my profile.  Have no idea what I did.  If you can get it back I would like to change a few of the pictures. Love Ya
