Any one have surgery at Carita's Hospital (Louisville)??

I got approved today.  Has anyone had surgery with Dr. Olsofka's office.  I was just wanting to know how long it took to get your surgery scheduled after you got approved.  Thanks!! 

Hi Melissa, I am new and don't know nothing and haven't had nothing done but I do have to complain about that hospital. I was admitted from EMG back in late June and it was just horrible....the only good things I can say about that hospital and one won't matter since you are having surgery to stop eating;) is the food and some of the nursing staff. I was really sick and even though I wasn't as sick as they thought I was they let me sit for 5 days before they decided they didn't know how to treat me and ship me to Jewish. The reason I say that about being sick is that I had cellulitis complicated by lymphodema and they thought I had a flesh eating virus which is very deadly and acts very quickly but yet they still kept me sitting around doing nothing for 5 whole days!! I don't mind going there for tests but I will never go to their hospital to stay again. Maybe it won't be the same in your situation but it isn't a great hospital. Good luck to ya! Kellie

I, on the other hand, have had nothing but good experiences there. Dr. Lusco did my surgery and it went splendidly. I had a hysterectomy there in '01' and still remember the great care I received from everyone, from the nurses to the aides.  As with any hospital, there will be pros and cons. Don't let the experience of one, whether good or bad, sway you into either direction. Do your own research.
