Any 1 been approved w/ BC?

Has anyone been approved with BC?  I was pre-approved in beginning and then denied twice and am appealing for the 3rd time.  Just wondering if I am wasting my time or if I have any chance.  Insurance is saying it is not a covered benefit under my insurance plan.  Can I still end up getting approved even though they say this??  They tell me I can pay for it myself and then appeal again and possibly get approved and re-imbursed.  If I could afford to pay for it myself, I would not be appealing!!

Hi Kris, I have BC/BS but it was a covered benefit under my plan.   I don't know how likely it is for insurance to pay if it is listed as an exclusion on  your policy....but it's certainly worth a try.   My guess, and I stress that it's only a guess, is that if you pay out-of-pocket....they'll never reimburse you.   I have heard of some that hire lawyers to help with the appeal process....but I don't know how effective that is.   You might want to try posting this on the Main Message board and see if anyone else has gone through the same thing and won their appeal.  They might be able to give you some pointers on what might work.    Best of luck to you!
