I didnt now there where any of us Dc allens patients here lol YAY!!!! Well, I really like Allen.. Hes very swee. His staff...on the other hand...dont return calls!!!!!!!! I paid 100 in...i think June. I am on IN medicaid, and had to wait from my clearanes to be faxed over before all my paper work was filled...i think lol..

Confusion can be a wonderful thing SOMETIMES! lol In times like these its just enough to tick ya off waitin for other ppl to decide ur fate esp when they dont return ur calls! lol

Just a lil note to warn all pre and post ops. GET YOUR PROTEIN IN EVERYDAY!!! I have done rather crappy with mine since day 1 and I am paying dearly with VERY slow weight loss, major hair loss, and all out feelin like shit! PLEASE!!!! Follow your program's rules!!

Okay wow I love the conversation! Silky, you are NOT in Georgetown!!! That's where I live!!!!! Across from the Grade School back Walts. What a small world!! Joy of course I remember you ;) so very PROUD of you kicking the smoking habit. My husband still hasn't :(. I am a Desperate Housewives junkie, and Brothers and Sisters,and Army Wives. Oh, and Private Practice now also! I have no life LOL! I saw the vascular doctor by my choice. He told me the risks of getting the vena clave thingie were just as risky as NOT getting it in my case. So I opted not to have it. He said my BMI is low enough, and with the other measures that the doc uses I would be better off not going through with it. When is the next support group thingie? I don't get off wor****il 6 PM, but if it's at Norton's Suburaban I would be there by about 6:15 (or could leave early from work! I have a myspace, [email protected] I think. I'm never on it though-I created it when my son was in basic training to keep up with other military moms, but we never used it - we used our chat room instead. Anyway, I'm at work now, just wanted to respond while I had a chance! Take care ladies :)

Wow, I can't believe you all know each other from the seminar...how did you meet? We talked to different people at my seminar but we didn't get any names. I can totally understand the anticipation you all must feel having to wait to be able to have surgery but gosh I am such an impatient person I cannot imagine having to wait 9 mos.+ like you all have! I guess I'm doing the waiting game now though....I turned in my paperwork Friday and they said it takes 3 to 4 wks to process a packet. Ohhhhh and wasn't Desperate Housewives good last night??? And then Brother's and Sister's was good too, do you all think Justin is dead? I'm wondering if he's really not and they are just trying to make it more suspenceful for us to watch. In the previews they showed the cemetary and a funeral but then they showed (I can remember there show names) Filicity and Rob's character standing off to the side. I think if it had been Justin they would have been sitting with the family. I guess we'll have to wait and see! Well gotta run! Kellie

My Mom went with me to the seminar and we ended up sitting next to Lisa and her hubby and got to talk to her some. Missy was sitting across the room but we all ended up meetin up on here too. (OH) I met Silk at Dr Allen's office and told her about this site then looked her up on here a few days later. I do plan to start going to the support group meetings when I can. You will meet more ppl there but I dunno how many others might be on OH. Missy goes to pretty much all the meetings so if u go u will get to meet her. She is a sweetheart.

I would like to go to the meetings too but it's so hard to do anything after the kids get home from school because of homework. I don't ever remember having as much homework as my kids do now and gosh the stuff they are learning in middle school I learned in high school or didn't learn at all. I guess I will have to get grandma to watch my daughter one night so I can go...it would be nice to put faces with names:)

Ok girls...make room...I want in here too if I can! I am stillllllll waiting to hear from Dr Allen's office on my date. I sent in all my records to his office in August...still waiting on a date! I called Kelly every two days or so till I finally got a call from her stating Reata had my records now and there was no need to call her anymore. So...guess who I call at least once a week? I have worked in customer service for 25 years and would never have treated someone the way they do. At least a return call with an update would be nice! When are the meetings for the support group? Joy (thank goodness for her

) has been the only person that is near the same point in this as I am. I would love to get to meet people I can relate to on this. Anybody know?

Hey there.....come on in we got room for you and anyone else who wants to jump in! lol Dr. Allen isn't my doctor but I will be seeing one of his associates so I can get in quicker. I've heard alot of people talk about how rude his office staff is. I was in customer service myself for about as long as you were and it just kills me to talk with people these days, they just have no people skills whatsoever! Even if you've never been in customer service a person should at least have the common decency to treat people the way they would want to be treated. Whenever you go to the grocery store or a resturant these days people don't even bother to smile, some don't even acknowledge you. Even working on the telephone in customer service we were always told to make sure to smile because the customer can hear it in your voice.....it's just a shame I guess. I use to do mystery shopping and boy did I let them have it in my report if I was not treated right. I sure hope they get on the ball for your soon....it's so hard to be patient and wait!

You all are lucky to live so much closer to Louisville to attend the support group meetings. I live to far away, and it would take me over an hour to get there. I want to attend tho, and after surgery, Dr. Shina requires that I attend some of the meetings. Thats ok, I just hate the long drive. This time mext week, I have to leave my house by 6 am to get to the hospital downtown, so I can have my nut class and psych eval. The traffic coming into Louisville is rediculous at that time of the morning! uggh! Oh well, it must be done!

At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Hey LaChelle, Where abouts is it you live, I've never heard of that town. What made you decide to come to Louisville instead of one of the doctors in Indiana? Theres suppose to be a doctor a couple hours from here(louisville) that do the DS surgery, I had considered doing that but changed my mind because hubby would have a cow if I went that far to have surgery. Oh and I know what you mean about the traffic! Yesterday we went over to the Clarksville Olive Garden for dinner and on the way back the traffic going back over the bridge to Indiana was just horrible. They were working on the bridge and had it down to just a lane or two, traffic was backed up all the way to U of L! Why the heck is it that the only time road workers do any work is during rush hour? lol
