I am scared about my health

Hi  I havent been on for a long time.. I have been going to dr a lot. I am severely iron deficient. I had gastric about 3 years ago.  the dr is wanting to put an IV in and do iron therapy  once a week. I dont want that but my iron is severly low.. is anyone else having this problem or have had and if so any answers please. I am on iron now called neferex and it is killing me slowly. I feel like crud. the next step is IV.. please I beg someone to help me solve this.. I am now looking up natural remedies but do they absorb with us..thanks for reading this.God bless. happyface

I have heard that liver is good for iron, if you like liver that is!! I take niferex 150 everyday, The doctor gave it to me because my iron was low and he said it would be worse after I have surgery, so I guess I he is trying to get it build up before. if you are a woman do you still have periods? are the irregular, heavy clotting etc? this is the cause of mine. hope this helps some

thanks for replying.. does this niferex make you sick... I cant eat good because I am sick..I had my surgery 3 years ago and lost 100 lbs..  I am so worried about this..and I am tired of being tired,, I went to dr on one of those 100 degree days with a sweat shirt on..they laughed but you  know its not funny to be so cold..and so tired and so sick..does this iron help you and do you take it with anything..food etc.. thanks again for your message.. I would take Iron Via-Iv. I did it I started to feel better as soon as they gave it to me. It took about 2 hours no big deal.

Good morning and thanks for replying.. I was wondering how is the Iv inserted I guess I mean where and how long did you have to keep it in..I am all for feeling better NOW! I am so tired and I look so horrible I honestly glow in the dark I am so pale.. thanks and have a great day. happyface

I do not get sick at all from taking the niferex, maybe it is way to low, you  probably do need to i.v. iron. I am going through perimenapause, that may b e why I don't get cold. I wish you the best of luck. I know it must be awful to feel so bad all the time.  Lisa

This isnt an advertisement but i too had really low iron and had prescriptions, took gnc and other irons all at the same time and the levels never went up.  I tried the Solgar brand iron that is easily absorbable and my iron went up pretty quickly not as quickly as with IV but pretty fast.  It is worth a try if you have tried all the others.  Just my opinion.
