Hello Joy! I just wanted to say congrats on your surgery date! Yay.... I have been having some trouble posting things. I left a post earlier this week and somehow it went bye bye, I saw the title and the reply someone left me, when I went to read it everything I wrote was gone. Same thing with emails and leaving things on peoples pages, I write and send it but I never see it posted. I left you a message earlier when Missy posted you finally got a date but it didnt show up like the others. Strange stuff I tell ya. I hope this posts lol...Well take care and good luck hun!

Hello and thank you!  I have been lurking for some time but rarely post.  I love reading the message boards and going into individuals pages to read about them and see their pictures.  I truly nenver knew that others had the same thoughts, feelings and problems with obesity that I have.  It is wonderful to know there are others out there just like me!  I am still waiting for approval for my surgery.  My medical records are being reviewed by the nurses at the surgical weight loss center to see if all requirements have been satisfied and if I'm ready to sumit for approval.  I am SO hoping to get approved and schedule before the end of the year.  Not only have I met my deductible, I have met my maximum out of pocket for the year which means I wouldn't have those huge co-payments. I have met with my PCP 6 times.  There was one month when she scheduled me back at the end of the same month instead the next month.  She was planning to be off and wanted to make sure I was seen.  My PCP is a young woman with school aged children whose husband died last spring.  She took off when the children got out of school for the summer.  That means my records show two visits in May and none in June.  I just pray that this alone will not prevent me from getting approved.  Wish me luck!
