2nd day update on Joy...

Well I was getting so concerned because I have been calling and calling and no answer , so I called the nurses station with concern, and they checked on her and realized the phone was turned off....sheeeww what a relief. So I finally talked to her, and she is in so much pain, her pulse ox is low and she is burning up (hopefully not with fever). The swallow test went fine, she is so thankful for all of the support, she doesnt really feel like company due to the pain, and may not be able to come home until friday, I will keep you all informed.  Thanks, Missy

I'll be saying a prayer for her to have a speedy recovery. I had open and hurt for 4-5 weeks. I chose open and if I had it to do over I'd probably chose lap instead. Although I know the gas they blow u up with is painful...

Thanks for the update! I too talked to Joy the day before yesterday but it's almost impossible for me to get on the internet to update because I am at my house in Bardstown where I only have dial up....this is already my 3rd time trying!! You must have talked to her after me because she said when I talked to her that she might go home on Thanksgiving so she must have gotten worse after I called:(

Did you happen to speak to her today? I should have called but it has been one of those days!! Oh and I didn't mean to barge in on your "Angel duty" by posting an update the other day I just thought maybe you were out of town for the holiday, I hope I didn't offend you! Not offended at all, you can never have to many friends right? My Thanksgiving was great how about yours?  Yeah when I talked to her she was in so much pain, and it brought back so many memories. I hated it for her, but she will be fine soon. I havent talked to her today, she is staying at her mom and dads and I have only her home number. Thanks for everything.

Hey Missy, Have ya heard anymore from Joy? I imagine she is home from the hospital by now but she is probably still at her parents house. I hope she is doing ok. Take care. Kellie
