They made me feel like a addict

I've been on 1mg of Ativan for 3 months. I can take up to 2 a day if needed. Most of the time I don't need one a day. I'm still waiting (for the past 3 months) for the rest of my vertigo battery testing. When I get dizzy (or my vertigo) acts up the panic attacks are worse.  For the past 2 weeks I've had to take (not every day) sometimes 3 Ativan a day. It wasn't everyday and I've got some left but my insurance won't refill until next Friday.  It has to be exactly 30 days. When I went to the pharmacy and asked for a refill they made me feel like a addict. I've never done drugs. I've never drank much. If u have never had a panic attack maybe u think its not a big deal, but to me and I just started having them when my vertigo started, they're scary. I will be out of Ativan before next Friday, by tomorrow actually. I was thinking of calling in the morning and making a appt with my PCP to see if he'll give me a weeks worth or recommend something that might help. But I'm afraid he'll think I'm a paranoid addict also. I've been going to the same pharmacy for years. I know them, they know me and my family well. I just felt like I was doing something wrong. Did I take Ativan 3 times a day? Heck yes, not every day, but when this vertigo hits me the panic attacks are worse. I know Ativan can be addicting. I don't feel like I need it 24 hours a day, I don't feel like I need it constantly but I do feel better knowing I have some if I need it if I have a attack. I don't like being alone at night while Adam works and being afraid I might have a panic attack. Ok, do I sound like a paranoid, freaked out person? I will call my pcp in the morning and make a appt. I just felt so awkward at the pharmacy. They were so rude and just short with me. Oh well.  Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day! Ange

I had one left last night. I was worried about not having none for the next week. Thats when the pharmacy said they'd refill my script but my pcp gave me a new script today and I got them. I wasn't panicking yesterday. I was just upset because the pharmacy made me feel bad. But they gotta follow the rules and do they're jobs. Thanks for checking up on me. I'm exhausted. We did shopping today lol. How are u?

Sorry to here that they treated you like a addict Angela..............i take ativan the generic of lorizpam and let me say they have gave me my life back. I started them in Aug. and they have helped me with sleep and panic attacks and just some emotional times. Well i had them 3 mo to the day and went back to my family doc and he said well its time to come off them. So he took them. So for 3 weeks i could not eat. I was refluxing bad. So i go back and i ask for them, he said no. So he refers me to a phsyc that tells me after looking at my gastro test, that i have severe reflux and i have spasms of the intestines...........he called it prolapsed bowels. And all along when i was at the low weight of 108lbs this was the cure i needed. The pych gave them back to me,i eat when i want and what i want without any trouble. The ativan helps relax the muscle in my throat and my bowels. I yes mine r a must to me because i can eat and all i did before was drink supplements. I am at 132lbs and healthy as a horse lol. So get to the doc and let him no about all that has come about. I even had my doc write me out a letter to the pych about why i needed them. My family doc told me he did not want to give them to me very long because the are a controlled substance. And  you are normal!!! So pay no mind to them.  Your pics show you had a great Thankgiving.

Hey gorgeous! U r looking fabulous! I'm so glad to hear u r "healthy as a horse" lol! Thats wonderful.  My pcp gave me enough until I see my pysch doc again and he told me to talk to him about some daily anxiety med to go with the ativan. Something that u take once a day to prevent anxiety and have Ativan as a back up. They've also referred me to a ENT in Louisville to finally finish my testing for vertigo. The ENT here in town has kept me waiting since Aug on these vertigo battery test. They've done some but keep putting off the rest. Hugs till next time Ange Call me sometime!!! I now have free long distance so I can call u too lol.
