Had Consult

Well, my wife and I talk to Dr. Sonnenstine last Friday, and like everyone said, he is awesome.  The nurses are really nice too.  The only problem is that I think we have to wait until after the first of the year to enroll in the program so I can use my Flex Spending Account to remburse(sp?) me for the program fees.  We are both going to do the lap-band.  He expects me to drop to about 225!?!?!    Last time I saw that was in 7th - 8th grade.  So a loss of about 120 - 140 . 

Congrats on making the decision to have surgery.  I know what a big decision it is to make....but it was honestly the best decision I've ever made.  I've never regretted it.   I had gastric bypass a year ago and as of Saturday I've lost 190 pounds.   I definitely agree with you.....Dr. Sonnanstine is awesome!!  In my opinion, there isn't a better surgeon to be found!   And yep....everyone in his office is top-notch as well.    Any time you and your wife would like to talk to a fellow patient of Dr. Sonnanstine....give me a shout.  I'm usually around the boards ...though mostly lurking these days as my manager seems to think I should be working for some reason!    You can also check out my profile.  My journal pretty much gives an account from the time I had surgery until now of what it's been like for me.
