kentucky medicaid (edit) lol

Hello all!! I hope everyone had a good christmas =D I saw that there was a topic about guitar hero..I just got my fiance a xbox 360 for christmas and the game and guitar set...and I can't get him off of it!! lol..It is rather quite addicting I've only made it to medium level I cant seem to get that orange key..my fingers arent that flexible lol..4 available fingers 6 keys..this will be interesting..haha..but the main thing I want to ask about is if anyone has had any problems with getting accepted from kentucky medicaid? I'm kinda nervous about it because I've never really heard anyone talk about it...but if anyone knows I would sure appreciate it =D

Hello!  Last I heard is Medicaid does cover 100%. You have to have 6 months straight of supervised dieting with ur pcp, a bmi of 40 or atleast 35 with comorbid conditions. Is Medicaid ur primary insurance? Goodluck

Hi, I just wanted you to know that I also have Medicaid as my primary ins holder. I didn't have to go and do the 6 mo pre op diet because I am diabetic and I have been working with my pcp on losing weight for some time now, so if your dr. has at least 6 mo record of trying to lose weight you can skip that. Also I had to pay upfront $600. My weight loss dr let me make payments though up until my surgery date. I hope this helps, feel free to ask if you have anymore ?'s.  Stacey Dufrene

if I may ask...y did you have to pay 600 up front? Did your medicaid not pay for the full procedure? I have never heard of that before =D..I did weigh****chers for 4 months..but it wasn't enough...so I have to got to my Family doctor and get 6 consecutive months supervisesd..Ive been through it once but made it to my 5th month..missed my appointment because of my work scheduel then they made me sart over...then some family problems come up..and i couldn't devote myself to it....but NOW i finally have everything figured out..and I'm ready to do this..and I hope I'm on the losing side this year =D yay for me...but thank you for being sooo inforative you and Joy both =D

me and joy have the same doc lol anyway... i have IN med and it paid full.  I had issues though.  I was apprved in Oct. and hen they sent me a letter in DEC saying it was modified. Then i called they said it was ok no worries.  Well about a week ago i got a letter saying i was denied...4 days after my surgery. Now..keep in mine...med has to approve me for me to get it lol.  Again i called..and the insurance gal told me t keep my letter, that she has talked to my ccase worker and all is weelll..no problems.  She said that its prob becasue it was a change of year.  But she said med is paying becasue i was apporved.
