anyone on medicade?

I'm waiting on insurance approval, I was told the week before christmas they had submitted it. I have not heard anything else, and I can't get anyone to return my calls.  Theres a sign in the Dr. office that says to wait 3 weeks for approval and if you don't hear anything to call them. A lot of good that does. I wondered if anyone else had medicade and how long did approval take?

hi, did you do the 6 months seeing  a nutrition? and seeing your family dr. and got all your tests done.  first off, it has took me a year to get this surgery. the first time I was waiting on insurance approval, I finally called them and they told me, all my dr. records wasn't in, I missed one month seeing my family dr. and I had to wait 3 more months. second time after I got all my time with in family dr.  I waited and waited. I finally called and said they had been trying to get ahold of me. they called twice, and didn't leave a message, and I even had a cell phone number on answering machine.     after calling 3 times that day. I got a call back, then they told me, they didn't have my pap smear test, mammogram, or heart dr.s notes in their files. So I got on the phone and it took about 27 hours and 5 phone calls, but finally I got them sent back in. They all told me they had already faxed them last year. I guess they got lost, haha.     3 days later, I called them back to make sure I didn't need anything else, it took about 3 hours for a call back and then I talked to someone over the records and stuff I guess, and she told me I was approved. but it took me over a year with all the stuff required. oh yes, I do have medicaid.                                           Lisa

I've been working on this over a year. I've done everything required, my 6 months, and all my tests, my doctors office faxed everything, twice.  Everytime I call I get a recording to leave a message and when I do no one returns my calls. I don't know whats going on,

is it very far to the dr.s office? if it isn't I think I would make a trip down there and see in person what is going on. good luck and best wishes.

I wish that were an option, but i'm about 85 miles away. In person always works better, real people.

 call them as soon as they open and call every few minutes, maybe that will get them to call back, unless it is long distance. and then I would just leave one message and say if someone doesn't call me back, I am coming down there and telling the dr. how i am being treated by his staff.    Maybe that will get them to call you back. I don't understand why they never call back. let me know what happens. Lisa
