Protein help!!! 4 days post op
I could taste the unflavored unjury in anything cold such as a shake. If I added it to soup then I couldnt taste it. I was having a heck of a time getting in what I needed to get in and so I discovered the body fortress from walmart... then I got Jane, Mimi and my mom (amy p) on the bandwagon with it. Its very reasonably priced and I think it tastes great. I wasnt a big fan of the isopure but I know several people that swear by it... I have also tried the protein bullets... the taste wasnt bad but they were too sweet and expensive for me. It is worth a shot tho and if it works thats all that matters right? Everyone has different tastes and views on protein... Its just one of those things where you have to try different things and figure out what works best for you.
As far as the stomach rumbling and making all sorts of noises, well mine still does it and im well over a year post op.
Good luck darlin! Congrats on being a loser!!!!!

When I first cam home I could drink warm liquids much easier than cold, so i found 2 drinks I really like. The first use a 24 oz insulated cup. mix 6oz milk & 1tbs sugar free coffee syrup, I then nuke this for about 1 1/2 min. Then I add vanilla protein powder(I use wal-mart brand), mix this well. Then add enough decaf coffee to fill to the top. If you want it sweeter you can add some splenda. The second drink tastes just like hot chocolate to me. I use a insulated cup fo this also. You can either use 12 oz on milk or split it with water. Nuke until hot and then add 1 pkt CIB and 1 scoop chocolate protein powder. These have always went down easy for me but some people doen not tolerate milk very well, you could use soy milk I guess.
