Seeking advice and wisdom

I am seeking people in the Western Ky area that have had WLS .  I want to touch base with others that have struggled with weight issues and are familar with local Dr.s or local support groups. I have attended a couple of information seminars and one support group meeting. I am having problems at the time deciding where and who would e best for me to seek help. Any help would be appreciated

Hi i am not from western ky, but i can say that i am soooo glad i had RNY, I have lost 100 lbs in 5 months!  i went from a 3x to a medium now!  it is the best choice i have made for myself... i only wish i hadnt waited so long to do it!  good luck!

 Thanks for the encouragement. I know its a life time thing and want to make sure I get the best care and make the right decisions.  I have attended a couple of seminars at Dr's offices and been to a couple of support groups.  I feel in my heart this is the way to go for me but would love to hear from others that have been to local Dr's and see what their impressions of them were.  So glad to hear thatyour having success. Please keep me in your thoughts as I try to decide.

Greetings-  I am in N. Central Ky, have you looked into Louisville doctors?  There are some very good doctors up there.  My friend used Dr. Allen and all I have heard about him is good. My husband also has attended his seminar and has been very please with him.  I am looking at another in louisville.  I know it might be a drive for you, is that an option?  I wish you good luck as I am almost at the same point on the WLS time line as you are and I know I am excited and nervous at the same time.
