Question about the Protein shakes!
Ok so for the past couple of days I've got all my protein in and I was looking back in my book to see some new ideas for meals and I noticed that one of the meals they suggest is 4 oz of CIB with one scoop of Unjury which brings you about 26grams and I always make mine and set them in the freezer cause I like them ICE cold so I havent tasted it yet but has anyone put only 4oz of milk in with all that powder???? Cause that just seems like a WHOLE lot with a little bit of milk! Ive been making a full glass and putting the recommended amount in there and taking only 4oz out at a time and drinking it that way?? HELP i hope i haven't been doing this wrong!!! LOL
Thanks
Hi Misty,
I never did use the CIB. Just a personal choice. For my protein shakes, I used 1 scoop of Unjury and 3 oz of skim milk to get a 4 oz shake. At times, I did add one scoop of vanilla unjury to orange crystal light to make an orange creamsicle drink to sip on. It wasn't bad...but I had to keep shaking it because it separated easily. I found it was easier just to drink the shakes for my meal and then rely on sf popsicles and different flavors of crystal light in between the shakes for variety.

I am with you Chris. It seems like the best way at least for me is doing three shakes for my meals and then drinking water and crystal light in between. Hopefully I can a snack in to get some extra protein. I have not been doing the CIB either. I just do the skim milk and unjury and yes the powder seems like a lot but once you get it mixed up it is okay. You can always call me and we can discuss it lol.

Hi, I use 1 and 1/2 scoops of the vanilla Unjury .( 30 grams protein) Mixed with water in my magic bullet. Then I add crushed ice in the blender to make like a thick shake. I also added crystal lite (or sgar free jello) to flavor early out. Now I use peanut butter (less powder), strawberries and my favorite is mixing it with decaf coffee. The magic bullet really does make a difference in getting it mixed up. You can use the sugar free Davinci flavorings also. Hope this helps.

I used and still do Body Fortress from WalMart. It is cheapest and best tasting protein powder I have tried. AND I have tried them all! Robbins from the health store is good, but pricey.
Early on I would take 1 scoop (23 g protein) and 4 ounces of milk. Eventually I would take 2 scoops with 8 ounces and drink on it for an hour or so while running my errands, etc.
Even now I will grab 1 scoop and 4 ounces for a quick meal or to make up if I am really short on protein for the day. The Chocolate powder is just like Nesquick and mixes like choc milk. It is not thick or frothy. I will use it in my magic bullet with 2 ice cubes for a shake like drink.
Just drink and drink.... Hot tea was my lifesaver. I still get most of my liquid from hot tea and lattes (LOL) I found that I could drink warm beverages so much easier than cold ones.
I got a nespresso machine for Christmas and just LOVE IT! (8 g protein - 110 cals) It is made with SF Vanilla or caramel syrup, 3 splendas and 1 cup skim/2% milk with a shot of coffee. yummers
