Well, I saw the urologist this morning and I will be having surgery tomorrow to remove my kidney stones.  It's an outpatient procedure so it really isn't a big deal.   My stones are about 3mm each and while the doc said that I could certainly pass them on my own it would be a very painful and bumpy ride.  I explained to him that I thought that I could manage the pain but I am VERY concerned with the uncontrollable and violent vomiting that goes along with it and how it could cause a slip to my band or a torn suture around the port area.  He agreed that the best option was to go in and get them out surgically.  An added benefit is that this time they will have something to analyze and tell me if they are the type that can be controlled with medication or diet. I'm kinda second guessing myself now thinking maybe I should have just waited them out and let them pass on their own but I'm just very nervous about having the band affected since I am self-pay for it.   Looks like I won't be making it to the support group tomorrow either and I was looking forward to seeing everyone.

Good luck and lots of prayers sent to ya! You are making a wise decision...that vomiting with the band sucks. I had the flu and thought I was bringing it up too! Hope everything goes well! Aubrey goes to the OB tomorrow so we may be at Floyd County Hospital tomorrow trying to get this grandbaby out!
