I am just curious to see who takes what type of vitamins.  Since my surgery I never seemed to get this surge of energy everyone talks about.  Could it be vitamins?

I take a chewable centrum multi vitamin two times a day.  Sublingual B-12. once a day and a calcuim.  What are you taking?

I take optisource post bariatric vitamins, I take 4 chewable ones a day, I don't mind taking them at all. if you live close to Ashland you can get them at Kings Daughters hospital pharmacy. or you can get them with free shipping from www.walgreens.com .      I think it is the only kind I will ever take. I feel pretty good right now, not sluggish and tired.

I'm taking 4 children's chewable (the Sam's Club kind).   I felt really tired and weepy for about the first three weeks.  Usually if I'm fatigued it's because I haven't had enough water.   I keep a whole case of water in my car, and drink water and Crystal Light (name brand, Kroger kind, and Wal Mart kind) at home.  I'm taking St John's Wort also.  That seems to help my mood and mood swings! :)   I've struggled with depression and am trying to avoid Rx pills.   I also see a therapist 1X a week. I've lost over 20 lbs since my Lap Band Feb 6th, but could lose faster if I would work out more.  People are seeing a difference and I can definitely tell in my clothes, but I haven't been weighing myself at home.   I'd say up your water and check your protein.  (I miss my "instant" energy of Diet Coke, Starbucks and sugar! but know I am much better off in the log run.)

Have you seen the new articles about the dangers of keeping water in your car?  The heat combined with the plastic in the bottles can give off toxins that can give people cancer.  Just be careful as the weather warms up.   At least get a cooler of some type for your beverages. Better safe than sick.

Hi karen, that's good information to share with everyone.  I have carried a cooler since my surgery.  Not only do I carry water but depending on what I am doing that day..(at the softball field when I play) to the time when I worked in the legal field and ran around all day  I need snacks..string cheese or little blocks of cheese..meat roll ups..etc.  You can purchase those freezer things ..ya know the big block of stuff you freeze in place of ice?...you can get those cheap at the dollar store.  Besides who wants to drink warm water?  yuck.   Today I am shopping with my daughter and DIL..of course the babies come with us..I already have my snacks and water ready.  Ya know, one day I figured out we have to treat ourselves like babies after surgery...we have to begin eating all over so we start small and work our way up...when taking these litle guys out for the day..we keep their bottles protected and cool..my grandaughter is starting foods so we are careful to choose the right things..(she is such a chunker, to cute) but the point is to pamper ourself because we are worth it!!!.. have a great day..gonna go workout then get home to fix a big breakfast for my family...I am making me and my daughter (we are allergic to eggs)..a quiche with egg whites, ham and spinach.(it's in the oven now)..mmmmmm the rest of the gang requested pancakes and bacon.. have a great day!

You might want to check this article on plastic bottles that I found on snopes.com:  According to this article the idea of plastic bottles breaking down and causing cancer is mostly urban legend.  Of course, warm water sucks. http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/petbottles.asp

Hi,  I just take a multivitamin and a BComplex.  That is it.  But I can tell when I quit taking them for a week or so.  I think it is the B Complex and Xtra Vitamin C.  I do have more energy taking them.  The more energy I have the less likely I am just sitting around.  That is when I do mindful eating. Good Luck
