crazy, busy and exciting week..
I wanted to share this news..I have been so busy this past week, I haven't had time to jump on line in days.
Some of you know my son is a Coast Guard pilot..he knew he was to be transfered this summer..he had been offered a job, put in for it but it wasn't official..so he has been on pins and needles for the last two months..
This week it became official as he received his orders....He is now the pilot for the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. We could not be more proud!!!!!!....he is so excited but has so much to do. He is to report to a base in Canada where he will spend several weeks training on the new jet he will be flyiing..put his house up for sale, ( he is stationed in Miami Florida now)..clean things out..look for a new home in the East..(he is checking out Maryland)..take more classes to qualify- finish a paper that will complete all that he needs to receive his masters in aeronautical engineering....not to mention my daughter in law is in nursing school and is trying to see what she can transfer and to what college will accept credits...all of this is so stressful for them right now..with a 5 month old baby and he being away for the next couple of months in training so much is left to his wife. I am doing what I can to help and will be needed even more while he is gone (fortunately she also works for Delta so I fly free)....next week my daughter goes back to work from her maternity leave..so I will have her son a few hours on Monday and Friday..I signed up for classes two evenings a week..have been offered a second job at the hospital..working with a personal trainer to get me back in shape physically....My head is spinning, I can't figure out how I am going to fit all this in...I have no idea where I am right now or where I will be when I wake up..lol..but I love being busy and productive.
anyway I wanted to share...hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend.!!!
My handsome son and his baby girl Ava.
Brenda, how exciting and wonderful! Congratulations to your son and his family. I can’t believe your daughter is ready to go back to work already, it seems like she just had her baby a week ago.
Thank you for sharing your information and wisdom with us. You never stop giving; you amaze me with your energy and knowledge. I had no idea you stepped away from your family to talk to me, you were so gracious with your time. I can see by your post how excited, exhausted and full of energy you are. I hope we can get together again soon.
What an Angel.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend with those adorable babies!
Brenda
Girl you need to slow down a little bit.
Thats great about your son i bet he is thrilled.
You and your d/h have done a wonderful job raising your children and now you are a proud grandmal.
You are always in a tailspin but yet you have time for us .
I thank you so much for that Brenda.
Happy Easter and enjoy your time with your family.
Brenda,
You sound really great! Busy suits you.
I also started working out. The YMCA gave me a scholarship so I only pay a small monthly fee. I have a trainer who helped me set up my program. She meets with me once a week. I work out one day on the machines, and swim the next and so on and so on. I have been doing it two weeks now. It feels good!
You must be so proud of your son! What a promotion!
Have a great Easter! We are going to my sister's house in Harrison, OH, but Andrew is refusing to go with us. The noise of all the people is so hard for him to take, so we don't push the issue with him. Hope to talk to you soon!
Maureen

Hi Maureen!!!!
There is definately something to be said for working out. I think it does help with stress, etc. I am working out 3 days a week now, I am an early morning person so am at the gym at 7am. hopefully I will add more time to that. I have to get use to my schedule first with classes and study.
I am very proud of my son, he is something else and about as down to earth as you can imagine. I have an incredible family and thank God for them today. They have put up with a lot from me..lol
I went through a depression for awhile and what I find I have to do is refocus. Turn my energy, thoughts and emtions into something positive and work hard at something new. I think grandbabies are a good thing to focus on.. I also forget about me way to often....so right now that's what I am working on. ME...I love the classes I take as I have studied theology now for a couple of years...I take one class a week then another in computer lab at a different school close to my house. I am really enjoying that one as well.
I have to get ready for church now..Easter Sunday will be busy and I help with new visitors on busy holidays, guiding them to the right areas.
have a great Easter day..and be understanding with Andrew,....as I know you are.
We need to have our get together soon..
Brenda
