Roadblocks and such

OK, so I got my approval for the pre-determination and I got my surgery date.  Well, now Dr. Tom's office was told that they need a 5 yr weight history on me before I get full approval.  I want to keep things on track, but I can't help but worry this will push things back.  Oh well, guess its just wait and see.

They gave you a surgery date.  This is taking up part of their schedule.  Give them the 5 year history so they can get the final YES and move on.  The insurance might want to throw a rench in the mix so they don't have to pay.  Insurance companies SUCK!  Good luck.  Dr. Tom is GREAT!!!

The office is trying to get it from my PCP right now.  I tried calling to see if there was anything I could do to expedite the process, but I havn't heard back yet.  It just sucks because my wife was approved and banded within 2 months.

what is their reasoning for wanting the info?  Did they ask for this from your wife?  I'm assuming you both have the same insurance.  Is that even legit? Just keep on it today and show them who's boss!  You have about a week to go right? I have my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks, I don't know if they needed it for my wife or not.  Just something the insurance needed for me.  And the worst part is that I tried to get a hold of Med Records at my PCP office and she was out.  What they will find in that is 1) I'm as overwieght then as I am now;  and 2) I don't go to the Dr. that often.
