6 months, 49.2 pounds nd a $15 dress! (pics included)

Friday was my 6-month anniversary.  Although I was initially down because I hadn't met my goal of 50 pounds lost by then I decided to cheer up and be happy for what I have been able to accomplish!

I have lost 49.2 pounds and will see the 50 pound mark this coming week most likely.  I have gone from having a completely sedentary life to going to the gym 3 and 4 days a week for at least an hour and a half each time!  I have come off my meds for high blood pressure and have been able to cut the daily dosage of my meds for arthritis in half!  I will also VERY likely see ONDERLAND before the end of the month!!  

So, I simply decided that I was pining away for that other 0.8 pounds for nothing!!  So I put on my cute-as-a-button $15 dress (great find!!) and had my hubby take a picture!!

Becca, I think you look Fab-U-lous! I bet it was really fun to try on the old shorts and see how much they big they were. I loved the dress too- it looks Derby-worthy. I'm impressed with all your gym work too. Keep up the good work. Dana

I posted this on the lapband board too...    I think my scars are bigger than yours!!! waaa~!!! ok, First off, I want to be your neighbor? what is the body of water behind u?? Look at the difference in your ARMS!! I can see a big difference.. AND THE DRESS IS CUTE!!! so is the arm accessory!

LOL.....that's Epcot and it's called the "World Showcase Lagoon" Seriously though, It's our pond.  It never gets used and it's TOO populated!  We need someone to fi**** and keep a few! Can you believe I showed my belly!!!!   Now that's something I would have NEVER done 6 months ago!!!!  BTW....it better not be as flabby as it is now after the next 49.8 pounds! Gracie is cutie! even in that hoochie dress my mother insisted on buying her!

 Congratulations, Becka!  You are looking great!!!  You're just a few months ahead of me and continue to be an inspiration!  You go, girl!

Thank you Jeanie! How are you feeling?  All this warmer weather makes me feel like a cat lounging in the sunbeam!  Very happy and peaceful!  LOL....that is until it just gets downright HOT!

  Beca, I am doing very well, thank you!  Had a long day at school today, but evrything is going great.  13 days left of school, but I have to be out 3 of those, 1 for post-op visit, two for Spring Trip.  I cannot believe how smoothly things are going and how much energy I have! I've come a long way in 2 weeks, a grand total of 24 pounds gone since 2 weeks before surgery day.  Clothes are already looser and I'm almost ready for summer.  Just started eating "regular" food, small amounts and pretty much by my doc's list.   Have a great week! 

Wow Becka you are looking great!   Love the dress, I would have snagged that bargain too - where are you going shopping?  I am hoping I might need to get some smaller clothes soon.

Hi Vicki, LOL....I got it at the Walmart in LaGrange!!  I usually am very picky with their clothes but this one was too cute! Thanks for the compliment!  I bet you've lost a bundle of weight already!
