Xpost: Anyone else get a toilet seat for Mother's Day??

Ya just gotta love kids right??

Yesterday my husband and 5 year old daughter were to go shopping to get me a Mother's Day gift.  I heard the conversation yesterday and it went something like this:

Daddy:  Gracie, what do you think we should get Mommy for Mother's Day?

Gracie:  I KNOW!!  She need a new toilet set cuz hers is broken!!  (the lid hinge popped off)

Daddy:  I don't really think that's a good gift, do you?

Gracie:  (stomping foot) Yes! she'd LUV a new seat cuz her's is broken! 


SOOOO......This morning I got (you guessed it!) a toilet seat!!     Daddy got me a gift certificate for a day spa too!

 A good comfortable toilet seat is always an appropriate gift ! LOL- too cute!  Now that day spa package is one that I wouldn't mind!  Just got back from a 3day trip to St. Louis early this morning with middle schoolers- hubby was kind enough to come along which made the trip more bearable. His assistance with choral festival, science center, zoo etc. was a Godsend especially since a lot of that took place in pouring rain.  Getting ready to sign off and go out for dinner with 2 out of 3 sons plus our precious granddaughters.  Son #3 comes in town in a couple of weeks.  Happy Day to all!

my husband is re-doing our bath. he took me shopping today;  for mother's day , i guess you could say i ended up with the "whole" seat, tank and all.... who says i am hard to please.?----waiting for surgery and then when i get some of these pounds off, i am going to hint big time...

 ohhh I can so hear this conversation!! hahahhaa!! I love it!!! Ok, let me know if your going tuesday... I may attend just to get my box of twisted bars.,.bwaahhaaahhaaa!!!   I realized today Im 8 months out, im getting depressed now lol dawn

I told my kids I wanted a steam mop...I love gagets.  My daughter got me a exericse kit for the pool my hubby told her to take it back and I got a spa package.  I said I would take the pool kit for my birthday in JUly.  No toilet seat, no steam mop.  Just don;t sit on your new present for too long, you might get rids, then what would your daughter say?  Just think of that conversation.

LOL....she gave me rids on her birthday!  That's the gift that keeps on giving!! OK, TMI and now i'm embarrassed!! I'm off to the gym!
