medicaid and plastic surgery!!

has anyone on medicaid, had any plastic surgery, I am not worried about any part of my body, I can hide most of it, when I get smaller, except my stomach hangs down bad, i guess from having 2 c-sections and being fat, it just hangs there, I get really irritated and raw down where it hangs over.     if anyone knows anything please let me know. I wouldn't have surgery until next Feb. anyways

Hello there, I can tell you what the lady at a plastic surgeon's office in Lexington told me.. And now keep in mind she is in charge of Insurance approval. She said that Medicaid will pay for surgery but it has to be medically necessary. It can't be for cosemetic purposes only. If you seek medical care for your rashes or the irritation down there( which I would definitely do), when the time comes you can get those records and this will prove the medical necessity side of it. She also advised me to take pictures ... Hope this helps & Good Luck! Katrina

thank you, I thought they might, honestly if I knew that a couple years ago, I would have probably already had it done, I have to use burn cream, to stay healed up, thanks again, I will start documenting it. Lisa
