Horseshoe Casino Southern Indiana
Hello I was just wondering if anyone on this board is employed or has a spouse that is employed with Harrahs or Horseshoe Casino southern indiana. My husband works there and you have to be on the insurance for 1 year before you can enter there bariatric program and my one year is approaching on the 28th of this month. I have a seminar on the 27th of this month at St Josephs center of excellence. But i was wondering if anyone had any info about the process they went throught with them. Thanks. The insurance is Cigna.

Hello, Ruthann. I don't work at the Horseshoe, but I used to work for Harrah's before I moved to French Lick. The insurance that I had thru Harrah's was really good, and really worked with me to get my WLS approved, but I wasn't able to get it done at the time, because I was getting ready to move up here. Good luck with the program. I don't know anything of St. Joe's sorry.

I worked for Harrah's over 2 years ago, and we had United Healthcare at the time. I don't know what Cigna is like. At the time, there was a 6 month wait, but that also depends on the group plan...so you may not have to, just depending on what the insurance company says.
You may want to check out some of the doctors in Louisville, since they will know quite a bit about Cigna if they accept the Horseshoe insurance. Good luck either way!

i have to go to a center of excellence so st josephs is the closest and they have good ratings. The policy he has does cover it but you have to be on the insurance for 1 year to get into the bariatric program so the 28th will make one year for me. Even if they do tell me there is a 6 month post op diet, what is another 6 months....It will be worth it I am sure.
