First Fill Coming.........Tuesday Support Group

Hey all you wonderful people!!!

I'm excited I have my first fill  (Thursday) with Dr. Allen
I'm alittle nervous since we are going on a mini vacation after that..LOL.. Dumb timing but the kids are on fall break.. I'll stock up on Protein Shakes ,soups and Powerade to bring along. You pretty much feel ok physically after right??? We are taking the kids to Sandusky OH to Kalahari Resort. Indoor Water Park.

I want to come to Support Group Tuesday.. anyone know the topic?

  You will be fine after your fill. Dr. allen will probably only have you do liquids for 24 hours... so after that just be careful and chew chew chew...

Yep..liquids for 24 hrs and then be careful for a few days afterward and chew! I just started to have some restriction after this last fill (5cc in a 14)  but everyone is different! Have fun on your vacation! I will definitely be there Tuesday....hate to miss out on the chatter!

Fills are a breeze....LOL....after the "first-fill freak out" that is!  They don't hurt any more or less than any other shot you'd get.  It's fairly nerve wracking though since it's in your stomach which is an odd place to begin with.  Does Allen use the numbing shot first?  Larson doesn't, he says it hurts just as much for the numbing shot so why get stuck twice??

I bet you'll be fine after the first fill unless you're feeling some tightness already.  Just take it easy with reintroducing the foods and go mushy for the most part!

Sandi, congrats on finally getting to that 1st fill.  When I had my first fill with Dr. Allen back at the end of June, we took off for Florida about 2 hours later.  Driving through the mountains of TN made me feel a little uncomfortable, but that subsided once we got out of the mountains.  You'll probably be fine.  For me, I didn't feel like eating much rest of day, so being on liquids was not too hard to da.  Have fun on your little get away!!!  See ya Tuesday evening!!!
