Suburban Support Group

  Hey, y'all!  Didn't see until after the fact, that most were not going to meeting tonight.  It was a very small crowd there.  Missed seeing the gang!  "Trading Addictions" was the topic.  Nothing to get excited about, ( What da ya mean I'm addicted to Starbucks?!!!!) but enjoyed chatting with the gal on my right, also an Allen girl.  Next month is NOT fourth Thursday- that would be Thanksgiving.  Next month is Thursday, November 13 and deals with eating thru the holidays and if all goes well, I hope to be there.  December's meeting will be the 18th and we will be in Indy getting ready for the wedding.  A few sad posts on board tonight- hope everyone else is doing OK.  For those of you who have inquired of my whereabouts, again thanks for your concern- I see stability slowly but steadily returning. Happy Week-end folks!!!

Yeah we kinda have all been runnin this past week and last weekend... Maybe we were tired of each other  just kiddin .   Well glad we didnt miss a whole lot.  I kinda like the downtown one its a little more laid back.   Hope to see ya soon

  Vicki, I keep trying to get back downtown, but it just hasn't worked out lately.  Suburban is on the way home and a little more convenient.  As for as the speaker goes this last Thursday nite... it was ok, just nothing that got my motor going.  Hope to see you again soon, one place or another! Got a question.  When and where is the Suburban Support Group.  I had my surgery in Lousbille adn now I have to get back on track.  I figure this is my new beginning.  If it takes me to drive 2 hours to get back on track it will be well worth it...... 

Cheri, this support group meets at Suburban Hospital on Dutchman's Lane in Louisville. The parking garage that is closest to meeting room is right off of Brown's Lane.  (The hospital is not far from the Shelbyville Rd. mall)  The meetings are usually the 4th Thursday of the month, but notice the date changes for November and December.  The group meets at 6:00 p.m.  and lasts an hour.  Most of the time, the meetings are good- occasionally the speaker is boring, but discussion and meeting with others is worth the trip.  Hope this helps and hope you can get there soon!!! 

I can't wait to meet everyone from here!!!  The only thing is that the next meeting is the night before my surgery....mmm I wonder if I should get a motel room for the night...lol

  I will say this:  The 1st time I went to a support group meeting was downtown Nortons and about 2 weeks before my surgery.  It was a great experience meeting others who had already had surgery, others like me, about to have surgery and to hear people share their experiences- and sometimes there's a guest speaker.  If you think you're good to go for surgery the next day, come on to support group on that Thursday night- it's great to get to know some of the folks on here that frequently post.  Would love to meet ya!  Congrats on your upcoming surgery, Sugar!
