I guess I went wrong because I had a kitten and it wasn't too keen on wanting to use the litter box. Plus Talan wasn't very nice to it. lol I am definitely going to have to learn to budget. Yeah I have talked to her via email and she told me about the 10,500 fee.. I told her that was absolutely ridiculous!... and someone somewhere had their wires crossed. The whole process is confusing as hell.  I don't get any feedback though ya know. The whole 250$ consult fee (I was told) had to be paid upfront and my insurance wouldn't cover it. That was the whole point in why I wanted to see if my insurance would even cover the procedure, ya know. That way I wouldn't waste 250$ for nothing. It's been a whirlwind. The last email I got said she would contact me at the beginning of the year... I just hope I still have insurance by then. He is such a gifted surgeon...and the surgery is so complex. It's hard to trust just anyone.
Talan has had a runny nose for at least a week. It's annoying for him.. Everyone is getting sick, it's going around pretty bad..

Hope everyone feels better your way!

Yes, originally they couldn't tell me crap. All she said is yes we cover bariatric surgery and you need a 6-8 month supervised diet. Okay, thanks for nothing insurance rep. LOL She continued on to mention a CPT code.. I had no clue about this.. so I looked it up and found the correct one. It was listed and it is covered. She said ( prolly even easier to get approved than original) all I need is a referral from my family doc and pre authorization for the surgeon (not the hospital)..

Simple.

I guess they're just waiting to become a provider for my insurance.
I need patience! LOL

If you ask me we are already there.  I just pray Obama and the new congress can bring us back to what we had under Clinton...jobs and a surplus.  I am still looking for a job.  I met with a head hunter on Monday.  MY hubby's company keeps talking about layoffs.  He was laid off 5 years ago...only lasted a week but still scary.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone and may blessings fall softly at your door.
