Can you say brrrrrrrrrr?

OMG...someone shut the freezer door! It is so freakin cold out this am!   I cannot believe this crap! Give me snow anyday! The girls had school today. They were not happy. Since we missed 3 days of school due to the hurricane winds/power outages we have to make them up somewhere! Plus they have finals to boot! What a way to end the year! Yes I take some joy in knowing they had to get out in these frigid temps with me. Dale and B are home playing today! Hehad Christmas with his dad this weekend so he will be home Christmas day and eve with us! I am so excited! I cannot wait to see him Christmas morning!  I managed to get half of his stuff wrapped. We are not wrapping everyhting. Santa always leaves some items to play with immediately. The girls said that always made it seem more like santa came. I got winnie the pooh paer for Santa this year. Santa always has different paper! I do have a rocking giraffe that I need to return. Aubrey got him a four wheeler..yes you heard me right..its a toy one. So he really does not need the giraffe. I am going to try to find him something else instead. Maybe some shoes since he is about out of all the ones I had bought already. Three more days til christmas...unreal. Still not in the spirit which sucks!  Cannot figure out why....maybe because I did not do all the baking...who knows.

We are out of school for the next 2 weeks, but I'm here.  I work year round.  It's nice, though, without anyone here but the custodians.  I'm wrapping my kids presents today at work.  They have been here since I bought them, mixed in with the families I have been helping.  My daughter had no idea!  LOL! 

It is quite cold, Lee Ann!  I wrapped up my little boys before I took them out to the car for daycare.  The baby did not like gloves and a hat on...ripped them right off in the car.  Thank goodness I heated the car up ahead of time.  My 3 year old had left a drink in the car from Mcd's yesterday and found it  all frozen up like a popscicle!  He found that quite funny! 

But, in the tradition of KY weather...the end of the week in Owensboro is calling for mid-50's!  How about your neck of the woods?  The same? 

Anyway, stay warm...and inside if possible!

Kelly...they are calling for 50's here as well by the weekend. Rain tomorrow and Thursday..hope it turns to snow. I really do not want to go to Muncie Saturday!

I am headed up with everyone to celebrate Christmas with my mom and then my step mom. Always a crazy day for us and hopefully home before dark.

Hi Lee Ann, hope all is well besides being cold.  I have got what every one else had a while back, running nose, cough, headache.  Living on chicken broth and organic spinach, heated orange juice, honey and lemon.  Odd combo but  I am surviving.  Be safe over the next two weekends.

Ahhhhhhhh My son is sick vomiting with a stomach bug and my daughter has yet another cold/ ear infection.. Lovely.. I swear we can't go one christmas without someone being sick!

Well I hope everyone cuddles up on the couch with a nice warm blanket and some hot chocolate or tea... and slippers!!!
