A few of you know I've been feeling bad lately.  This past Wednesday I woke up with a somewhat familiar pain in my right side.  I just assumed I was working up to birthing another kidney stone so I put Gracie on the school bus and then popped 2 darvocet and a phenergan and went to bed to wait it out.  Well, I woke up 4 hours later feeling a bit better so I figured the stone either broke up or floated back to the safety of my kidney.  Later that evening it started talking to me again and that was when I realized the pain was higher up in my abdomen than I was used to for a KS.

I started wondering.....gall bladder??  What side is that thing on anyway??

After some Web MD research I was definitely leaning in the direction of it being a GB issue so I called Dr. Larson's office to see what I should do.  I had an appointment for a possible (not) fill and mileage check anyway.  They suggested I try to see if my PCP could see me and get an ultrasound before the Tuesday appointment so they could move quicker.

My symptoms are upper right abdominal pain, referring shoulder blade pain, overly belchy, rumbly intestines (no real tooting action though), semi-nausea, lost a significant amount of weight and many of my family have had theirs removed.

I went to see my PCP (Dr. Hefner) on Friday.  He quickly ruled out a kidney issue with a urine test.  He said while I'm not a "textbook" case for gall bladder disease that I certainly fit the rule of the 5 F's......Female, Forties, Fertile (not yet menopausal), Fat (yep, he said it but blushed while he did) and Flatulent!!   He said if I was more sickened by foods he'd likely be convinced it was my gall bladder but he also thought it could possible be a pinched nerve affecting that area of the ribcage (T5-T6 and T6-T7??).  I left there with the office staff calling around trying to get me in somewhere for an ultrasound of the GB by Tuesday when I see Dr. Larson.

Well, ever since he said I should be affected more by food I AM!!!  Thank you Dr. Hefner!!  GRRR!!  I get the belchies after the first bite or drink of ANYTHING.  The abdominal pain increases and today I even threw up (the real thing, not a PB)!  I'm feeling wretched too.

Hubby was very kind today and took the girlie to Gamestop and then the movies while I took a three hour snooze in the recliner with my cats.

Tuesday can't come quick enough as I HATE to not know what's going on for sure or not having a plan of action.  Hopefully, I'll get the ultrasound Monday or early enough on Tuesday for my surgeon to have the info.  Hopefully the vomiting part won't be a strong part of the equation before they can fix the problem.

LOL...I'm wide awake now though after my early evening nap, my daughter goes to bed after Beethoven goes off and hubby's been excused to go play in his man-cave for the night so I'll be on here putting my 2 cents worth in on everything the rest of the night!!  .

....it'll be just me and OH in a few minutes!  Does it get any more romantic than that?

Sounds like a gallbladder, acts like a gallbladder and probably is.   Believe me I know I have had mine taken out and those are the signs.   What finally broke the straw on the camels back was a greasy hamburger that Bob cooked at 4AM for him and I after he got off work back in 1980 shewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that was a long time ago and we were still pups lol

Hope you get some answers and soon.   Hope it doesnt interfer with support group  lol   But if it does we will all just visit you in the hospital at Nortons  lol

awwww lovely... the five f's.. blah blah blah... It kinda sounds like mine, well no it does sound like mine but I have always been belchy since I got Band-Aid.. so... I know what kicks mine off... smoked sausage, certain choclates and used to be peanuts but not so much anymore.. odd huh.. So I stay away from those things and im good... Now something set it off the other night, and I still dont know what it was... but I guess before I loose my insurance I will have it taken out. Cause Todd's insurance is 90/10 and mine is 100 percent paid.. I dont want it out though. no more scars.lol. I am gonna call Holly and see if I can get a fill though cause Im getting bored and snacking and I want to loose 20 more pounds,... Becca,

I was throwing up when I had my gall bladder out.  I hope you get your answers on Tuesday.  The worst part, besides the pain, is not knowing for sure what it is.  Glad you got some rest today.
