Looks like you are simply one of the gang! Regardless of the type of WLS a person has they seem to go through this. Lucky ones get it mildly but I think we all got the complimentary "been there - Done that" T-shirt. Wanna borrow mine??
I think some of the depression also stems from a psychological letdown of "So, this is it"? Kinda like the day after Christmas depression a kid gets when that HOT HOT toy they simply HAD to have isn't as cool as they thought! LOL...or the 21 year old virgin that was expecting fire works and an earthquake.....or....yeah, I'm sure you see where i'm going with this......
Give it a few weeks and you'll be singing the praises of your WLS!!
I bet you are also going through the "what they hell did I just do to myself" phase.
Hubby is simply scared of the future too. Change is stressful to everyone. Don't forget to give him a little extra reinforcement along the way too.
Good luck and by all means.....hang with the us bariatric babes on the KY board! We can moan, groan, ***** whine, complain, laugh, love and support each other to the best of our abilities!!!
Just today I was telling someone at the hospital "I may have lost 75 pounds but when I found this website, I GAINED so much more"!

You have no ideal how much better I feel just knowing that i'm not the only one who went thru this kinda of a phase. I think I feel better this morning, and it's my first week post op appt with the doc today, so I'm hoping that he will say good things and you know then I will feel better. But still I want to say thanks to everyone who took the time to reply, You really did help me feel better, made me see some humor and reminded me of the importance of PATIENCE. THANKs to you all
