Not so much about the surgery itself but the fact that I'm going to wake up HURTING!!!

Oh well, 24 hours from now Pebbles and Bam Bam will be a memory and I'll be floating on my percocet cloud thinking pretty thoughts....

I think you will be surprised that maybe the GB surgery will have minimal pain.   I had the surgery and can't remember having much pain except when I coughed and got up and down out of bed or chair.   Just keep the pillow handy.

Good luck tomorrow and was hoping to be up and sittin with Richie while you are in surgery but my Dr. has other plans for me being at his office instead.

Hugs

best thoughs for you and the successful eviction of Pebbles and Bam Bam.  I think you will be surprised-I had mine out lap and really wasn't that bad....band surgery is pretty comparable.

Thank you Guys!

I'm really only concerned about prolonged pain due to the fact that I have a large amount of mesh in my abdominal cavity due to a previous hernia repair (THAT surgery took 8 weeks to feel better).  Doc Larson originally was planning on going in at my navel to do the removal but he now can't.  His parting shot when we were discussing it was, "I guess we'll just have to go with plan B".  Then Olivia (his nurse) called for the pre-op stuff, she told me that I won't feel well for SEVERAL weeks after wards but it shouldn't effect my band (it better not because I WANT a smidgen of a fill next week).

Interestingly though, the band surgery really wasn't that bad for me at all.  It was on a Friday and I took my last narcotics for the pain on a Sunday....hopefully Olivia was wrong and this one will be just as easy.

Gotta run, Gracie has swim lessons and I have to get to a bank before it closes!
