well i had the second part of my sleep study last night, I got to sleep with a small plastic thingy on my nose that sent a continuous current of air. You had to keep your mouth closed or it would break the current and it just felt weird. After I was hooked up with a bunch of leads all over my head and some on my chest I went to bed and actually fell asleep quickly. the lady who was monitoring me was in a different room and she controlled the air of the machine, she came in just once to make me wear this thing to keep my mouth shut and then at 5 am she woke me up and said i was done. she took off all the leads and I drove home, took a shower to get all the sticky gunk out of my hair from the leads and went to bed and slept for 4 1/2 hours. I should get a call tonight or tomorrow after they go over the results and then they will send me my very own machine... Donna

Glad everything went so well for you. Hopefully the CPAP machine will help. Did the doc say that losing weight would help your apnea? When the diagnosed me with sleep apnea, the neurologist said that radical weight loss would most likely take care of it. ~Robin

the lady doing my test already knew I was having surgery, she did not say much but that she knew a few people who had it and they felt so much better, she did ask me to come back some day and show her how I looked after I lose the weight Donna
