dreams do come true~~~~~~~

Hi everyone! I went to the seminar may 24th in Louisville to see Dr. Shina, he gave a great seminar, it was so interesting, especially about blood clots and what they could do to you! It was scary, I didn't know they were so dangerous, but the good news is ,they can put a filter in you if you have ever had bloodclots before,i have. So it will make the operation much safer. I have been worried about finding a Doctor that would do my surgery, I am a paraplegic, have been in a wheelchair for 27 years. The first thing Dr. Shina said to me was "I wouldn't even consider doing the surgery unless you had a filter put in" and after hearing him tell of what could happen if bloodclots went to your heart, I told him " I wouldn't consider having it without the filter" Dr. Shina said he has never done WLS on anyone paralyzed, but if I did ever thing he asked me to do I should be fine. So I guess I have me a Doctor! WOW! Now I have to start getting busy!! Please everyone wish me luck, and a prayer would be nice. Dreams do come true! Leatha
