TRICARE

Has anyone recently dealt with Tricare? I am wondering if they are giving people a hard time approving surgery if your BMI is lower than 40. Please let me know ang pass along any advice. Thank you!!!!

Hi Tara, I am in the Ft Knox area too and had no problems with Tricare. My packet was submitted around the 20th of April and just about 30 days later I was told I was approved. The only thing I thought odd is that if I check on the mytricare website it says "pended" as the status with "authorization number to be assigned" there also. But I recieved a call from Dr Shina's staff and am scheduled for Aug 12th. My BMI was 44. Good Luck on your journey..I am counting the days till my date gets here. Susie
