BIG WOW MOMENT!!

I went to the NIBROC Festival this weekend, and I rode one of the rides!!! I was so excited I screamed out... I FIT!!!...LOL I also went to see Jeff Bates..Whoo Hoo!!! He was awesome, and I had a BLAST! On the 13th I was 3 months out and I have lost 72 pounds..! I am soooo excited! I am NEW in Radcliff, and would love to meet local people! HUGGS Carolyn S

Tonya I just moved to Radcliff, and I am not so sure where everything is...But I would love to meet you sometime...I am getting my house unpacked at the moment, but after tha is done I will be available, almost anytime. Just let me know! The NIBROC is a festival in CORBIN, KY...It was my first time to go to it, and I had to ask where the name came from, and my sis in law told me, LOL... "It is CORBIN spelled backwards"...LOL I never realized that...! I felt so silly...So I asked my husband, who is from that area....LOL What NIBROC is... and he said he did not know... I laughed, and told him that it was Corbin backwards,...he said he NEVER knew that....LOL I love Jeff bates music...and he also sings Conway like no other! I actually cried when I heard him sing a couple of songs... I got goose pimples when he sang "GoodBye Time"..! I love the original, and the version that Blake Shelton sings, ....BUT Jeff made it his own...and it was very good! By the way Jeff has a new album coming out in a month or so... It is going to be awesome...he did some songs from it..! Keep in touch! Carolyn S

Carolyn, Just wanted to say Hi! and that I enjoyed meeting you at the support meeting in Radcliff. You are an inspiration to me and I can only hope to do as well as you have losing so fast. Charles.. I wanted to tell you that it was very nice to meet you last night also... The support group is nice..I miss the group I went to in Texas, but I met a lot of nice people here last night too! I think we should have our meetings out sometime...maybe at a nice restraunt. (LOL) Good conversation could replace dessert! Keep in touch... Sunni

Hi Sunni Being a resident of Corbin, I was totally surprised to see the Nibroc mentioned here on the boards..since you enjoyed it so much, you might want to check out the Chicken Festival that will be held in London, Ky in late Sept... *S* I am simply a lurker on this board, my daughter Krystal W. will be having her surgery 8/22..please keep her in your prayers Take Care Shellie H

Shellie I have been to the Chicken Festival in London... My inlaws live in Corbin also, so we try not to miss that one... And let me tell you, I love chicken, so this years will be a big challenge for me... I really do wish your daughter the best...I will keep her in my prayers.. I know she will be very happy that she had the surgery..AFTER she gets over the first 2 weeks....anyways! Sunni PS. I saw the Chicken Festival on the Food Networks show "American Festivals"... I thought it was cool seeing Corbin on there!
