A co worker & a friend of my need advice.

A coworker of my is suffering from Morbibe Obesity. She is a single mother of three kids. She is a hard worker but her health is declining. She has State aide and coverage for her & her kids. She came to me for advice and what she needs to do to get approved for The WLS ... Like I said she is a single mother, she works as a CNA in a Nursing home and her & the kids get state support. She shoped around for insurrance companies that will cover the WLS and she is turned down when they has about her weight. What advice should I give her? Should she get with a case worker from the state to get some type of coverage?? Also she needs a Doctor to work with her who believes in the WLS Surgery. Like I said she been fighting for this a few months and don't know whick way to turn. Please give me some advice & leads so I can share it to her on what she need to do and who to see as for a Doctor that will support her journey to get coverage & approved for the WLS. Does she live in KY? I am on state medical. I just found a dr. that accepted medicaid and got the surgery done. It does have to be medically necessary. I wish her luck. June A good place for her to start with be with her general doctor.
