Hey, good idea. I've been busy with the season, but popped in tonight to try to catch up and saw it.

Let's see... I'm Kristina and I live in Hodgenville, Ky. Had my lapband placed on May 24, 2005 by Dr. Allen in Louisville. In less than seven months since surgery I've lost 103 pounds. I adore this band, it was the perfect thing for me. It is simply amazing not to be hungry all the time. My life has changed so much. Peace, Kristina 500/397/199

Checking in from the mountains of eastern Kentucky. I had my open RNY on Oct. 4, 2004 with Dr. Steiner at St. Joeseph East in Lexington. I started out at 320 and surpassed my surgeon's goal of 195 quite some time ago. I am now about 2# from my own personal goal, I am at 167# and am about 6' tall. I'm having WAY too much fun shopping for clothes these days! Rhonna

Anthony, I had open RNY in May 2002 and I've lost 239 lbs so far. I'm still working at keeping fit and I lose about 2 or 3 lbs a month. I had my surgery at Cabell Huntington with Dr. Charles Goldman. Best of luck. Susy

Hi! This is the first time I've done this. I'm set to go for the bypass on Jan 18 at the VA med center in Louisville with Dr Gaar. Not everyone in my family is happy about this. My sister, who is a nurse, is really upset with me. Sometimes I do wonder if 11o pounds is worth doing this over. But my knees are going out and my 8 year old wants me to climb the rock wall with her. She's worried now because I'm crying. I've been so excited and worked so hard to get this that I havent had time to be scared yet but I'm sure that is coming. Maybe just actually writing about it with people who have done this is making it more of a reality??? Anyway, I'm DeAnna and in Louisville. I've thought long and hard about this and I am ready to give up pecan pie and ice cream and diet coke for the chance to climb that rock wall today and devil's tower in 10 years.
