So how was your holiday? any problems with eating and staying on track?? What did you do differently this year that helped you through it? I am now 2 1/2 yrs out..it's getting more difficult each year because I find I can eat more of the "bad"stuff. I handled it by making sure when everyone left my house last night they took goodie bags with them..I don't have a thing left but some ham.. What fun will you have for New Years? any resolutions? I dont' make them cause I never keep them.... I was suppose to ride in a police cruiser (just as an observer)this weekend but I havn't been feeling up to it, so can't do that until I am fit and ready to go, maybe in a month or so..just in case I gotta run for cover..yikes!! hope that doesn't happen I hope you all have a wonderful New year..... Happy New Year Brenda

Hey Brenda, My holidays were wonderful. I didn't eat a whole lot, not a big fmaily dinner kind of person. My New Year's Resolution is to enroll in my fitness class at school, and not drop out Other than that, I won't keep any thing else. I am going to be spending my New Year's at home, with my b/f and Lailie. No drinking, being boring. We are going to rent corny movies from Blockbuster, and try to stay away from family members. They like for us to babysit way too much..got them again tonight. Not listening a word. But thanx for helping me.

Hi I had a really good holiday. I met another person who had bypass surgery yesterday at a part, she said she would do this again in a minute.. I am getting excited and pumped. I watched her eat very healthy and not alot. She said she looks at things differentely now to go to parties for the people and friendship not for the food. I am going to work on that attitude! Happy New Year!!

Chad, The person you met is right. Food is no longer the focal point of parties or other gatherings. The people are the focus. And you usually find yourself right in the middle of all the action because you no longer have your face buried in the food. I love to talk and flirt and enjoy friends and family. When is your surgery?

Hi Brenda, My Holiday was pleasantly quiet. I spent alot of time in the stores comparison shopping for my upcoming surgery in February...I am hoping to catch a deal whereever possible! I am stocking up so I won't need anything the first 3 weeks after surgery (I hope).
