social security question
I am a 40 year old with severe morbid obesity obstructive sleep apena chronic obstructive pulmonary disease asthma and hyperlipidemia and was wondering if I would qualify for SSI I had RNy Gastric-Bypass on 5-23-05 I had a medical card when I had the surgery but in july I lost it because my husband had heart surgery and started drawing his social security my children,my husband and I all got a state medical card where he wasn't able to work due to his heart condition but since he started drawing his social security he and the children still get a medical card but they cut me off I'm not worried about drawing money for myself I just need the medical card so I can continue to go to the doctor I haven't been since july and was wandering if I would qualify to draw with my medical conditions thanks to any one who can help me

No, you will not be able to get SSI because of your husbands check, but you and the children are all elgible to draw up to half of his check. The children because they are under the age of 19 and you because you are disabled. For instance if your husband draws 1,000. per month, you are elgible for half that.
my husband receives his disability , my children get his. but I suffer from depression and I got my disability for that and my kids get half of mine and my kids get half of his. If you suffer from depression you can try to receive your disability they do consider depression a disease. the only problem is the medicare you have to wait two years.
