Tattoos anyone?

I am thinking of getting a tattoo after I heal from plastics later on this summer. When I am thru with everything. I have heard some people say they like butterflys. I was thinking butterfly myself until I saw a gorgeous phoenix tattoo last night. I am seriously considering having one put on my lower back. I was wanting to put it somewhere where I can see it, but I don't know. What do u all think? Hugs Angela

Hi Angela! I seen the pheonix tatt..it was GREAT! I have four tatts myself, and LOVE them. I want one more after I have surgery and have lost. Deciding where to get them is a important decision. I personally placed all mine where they can only be seen if I chose to show them, due to my job etc. I think the pheonix would look great on your lower back. The four I have are..My first one, a dragon fly setting on a leaf on my right shoulder. 2nd is a sun and moon on my lower left leg. 3rd is a half moon man, with this wild beard blowing around on my left shoulder. And my FAVE is number 5. She is a fairy with a bubble in front of her. She has her arms on the bubble with her chin in her hand, and then down below you can see her feet crossed at the ankle withher striped socks on, with a few other bubbles flowting around beside her. The colors are GREAT. Oh yeah, she is right in the middle of my back. If you do not already have a artist I REALLY recommend Dave Phillips at Red Beards Tattoos in Lebanon KY. I can get a number for you if you like. He does GREAT work. Right up there with the guys on Miami Ink. He has done all of mine and all of my hubbys, and brother in laws etc etc etc, and we have never been disappointed by him!

Cool, I would love his number! Where is Lebanon? Very far from Etown? We have a Lebanon Junction right up the road...I would love his number for future use. Its going to be after plastics but I will keep his number, I wonder if he would have a pic of that tattoo from last night? I am sure it will be expensive but, (I know this sounds silly) I loved that one last night, it just spoke to me, about how my journey has been...Sappy, right? Angela

Lebanon is not very far at all from E-Town. You can go East from E-Town on the B/G parkway and get off at the Springfield/Lebanon exit. simplest way to go altho there is a shorter way if you want to take the back roads. i don't know how to do that. i think it's only about fifty miles from E-Town. I go to Lebanon all the time.

Thank u Delores, it doesn't sound too far away. I won't be heading up there until I have plastics this summer and recover from that anyway. Thanks for the directions though, at least I know about how far it might be.. Hugs Angela

I will confess something... I have always wanted a tattoo....not really sure what I want but just something small and in some place that cant be seen unless I choose to show it.....BUT I doubt I will ever get one....I am a BIG and I do mean MAJOR BIG....NEEDLE-PHOBIC!!!!I cant stand shots....when i have to get one at the dr....they usually take 5 or 10 minutes just to calm me down to take it...when I had to take insulin shots...I cried like a baby....I couldnt give them to myself...you would think after years of getting shots every day that it wouldnt bother you...but I am still that way....I HATE NEEDLES...and I fear that if I went to get a tattoo that I would cry and pass out on them because I know there has to be some real pain involved in getting those....IM CHICKEN!!! Im not against them....just CHICKEN!!! hmm...now there is a thought...maybe a chicken tattoo.....LOL!!!

Rosanna, It really is NOT bad at all. my hubby is TERRIFIED of needles, im talking...this BIG MANLY MAN runs like a schoogirl when someone gets too near him with one. However, he has two tatts. It really is not bad at all. Once ya get past the first minute your numb anyways so ya cant even really feel it. It feels like...a bad tingly sunburn. Thats about it. I will get his card tomorrow, I must have left it in my office and email it to you.

Mine really didn't hurt at all. I have 2. Its almost like someone taking their finger nail and scratching your skin. Its not bad... Angela

Angela Hi I have 4 tats right now 3 on my back and one on my chest. The one on chest the guy did lousy jobso going back were I got others at and have it covered with a tat. I picked out when I have tax money.With tats it depends on were you have them how bac they hurt. The one on my lower back hurt bad but it has lots of details in it 9 colors.The other 3 did not hurt bad at all and the one in center of y back felt good while he was doing it I almost fell asleep...lol. My tats areof big cats except for the one of chrst but what I have picked out is a panther loos lke it ripping out of skin and has a rose in it mouth. lower back tat is a butterfly and have vines and flowers going out from sides of it and in center of butterfly is a white tigers face tat in center is a baby tiger holding a crstal ball in ball says kiss this the other is a wicked looking cats head with blue eyes its on my right shoulder their is several more I wanna get some time when have the spare money to do it hope yo get to get it take care hugggs Beth

Hey Beth..I love cats too. We have one spoiled rotten furbaby named Merlin and are looking to adopt another one..I will be getting my tattoo after plastics. I don't want to do it now and then have extensive surgeries.. Hugs Ange
