I'm back stateside. Next stop: surgery!

Hi, everyone. Sorry I haven't been around lately -- I went overseas for my brother's wedding (in one word: FIASCO). Anyway, I'm back now and ready for surgery tomorrow morning. I have to pick up some mag citrate for my bowel prep and pick up a couple other things, then spend the rest of the day cleaning house and washing laundry. I'm so disappointed that I couldn't attend the Metairie meeting, but I hope to make it there next time. Later!

Yay!! You're back!! I'm happy to see you back in town. I met a few new women in the Mandeville/Covington area last week. Jennifer just had lap band surgery with Dr. Lavin last Friday and is doing well. Becky is going for her first appt. with Dr. Lavin this coming Tuesday. She's also having lap band surgery. Thanks, everyone! Sorry I haven't gotten back in touch. I've been trying to tie up loose ends, plus I had company over this evening. Fortunately, my relatives have really stepped up to the plate to help me out with this surgery. One uncle has insisted on taking me to the hospital at 4 am and staying until it's over, and another has insisted on having me stay at his house after discharge. My aunt and cousins will also be with me in the hospital. I feel terrible about putting them all through this, but glad not to be going it alone. Well, it's 12:30 and there's no way I'm going to sleep now, so I think I'll clean up some more and take a Hibiclens shower. The next time I post, I hope to be on the losing side! Take care!

I am going to Dr. Martin's office in Baton Rouge on Monday, a friend is looking into get gastric bypass and I need some refills and wanted to see what is going on with them coming back to New Orleans and so forth, I am not sure of your last name, but I know that you are going to Oschner. Hey Daydream, You are probably in surgery right now or at least in the pre-op area, so I know that you won't see this until after. I've been thinking about you and wondering how your time went at your bro's wedding. We will all get together again. We talked about alternating between North and South shores.
