What Doc's accept Medicaid for Tummy Tucks etc.?

! I was told that Dr. John Williams accepted Medicaid for Tummy Tuck procedures and etc. but the office called me this morning and has informed me that the only way they are seeing those with Medicaid is if you pay up front then try to get Medicaid Approval. Can anyone Help? I need to find someone that will work with Medicaid. I was told by my WLS Surgeon that Medicaid would cover the TT if it is a medical nessessity.(sp) If anyone has some info that will help, please let me know. Thanks!

All I can tell you is that from what my surgeon has told me........it is very, very hard to get insurance to pay for a tummy tuck or plastics of any kind. Yes, if it is medically necessary they will.....BUT you have to have loads and loads of documentation to support why it is medically necessary for you to have TT. ie: nonhealing rashes, recurrent rashes, skin breakdown/recurrent infections due to overhang of skin...etc. Persistent persons willing to fight the insurance company and prepared with lots of documentation of ongoing problem may win out in the end. Most docs aren't willing to go to that length to have insurance pay for the procedures. Good luck to you, hope you are able to have it done! Take care!
